What part of my application is more important than others? What is IE looking for? Do I have what it takes? What is the secret of getting into IE Business School? Check out the presentation below to see if you can find a possible answer to these questions!

When you started reading this post and flipping through the slides, you might have been unconsciously hoping to find a real secret – an absolute truth – of how to get into IE Business School. However, in the back of your mind you knew that there is no secret; still out of curiosity you gave it a shot. But yes, you were right all along – there is none; there is no absolute truth.

Personality, talent, potential, motivation, leadership are all very complex and ambiguous parts of a candidate´s profile which the application process is trying to define, unravel and reveal. Although, the presentation above provides some insights into how you can help us understand who you are in a better way, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

However, by following these tips and keeping in mind that the information with which you provide us is the only tool we have to define who you were, who you are and who you might become, you are setting your own stage in a better light. Furthermore, you might want to keep in mind that the more examples you provide, the more authentic of a picture you are drawing of yourself in a situation in which one stranger wants to believe what the other stranger has revealed. But to sum it all up, the application process is your time to reflect on who you are, who you were and who you want to become. The “only” thing you have to do is to make the other stranger understand.
