On July 1st, IE Business School celebrated an evening of entrepreneurial inspiration. IE professor Pablo de Holan, Bruce Macfarlane a Venture Capitalist, Bill Morrow a Business Angel and 2 IE Alumni entrepreneurs shared their views of how to become an entrepreneur.
Sometimes you learn more from your mistakes than from your successes and Professor Pablo de Holan kicked off the evening explaining how to avoid typical mistakes that entrepreneurs make. Bruce Macfarlane, winner of the latest EIS Fund Manager of the Year Award and founder of MMC Ventures talked about his experience as a Venture capitalist. Bill Morrow spoke about how he founded one of the largest Angel Networks and provided insight about the difference between angel investors and VCs. Also two International MBA Alumni (Shari Carlson and Jo Turner) shared their experiences of how they set up their start-ups and attendees also had the opportunity to ask all of the speakers questions.
More than 80 people (prospective candidates, candidates in process and alumni living in London) came to this event; were you one of them? Please share your entrepreneurial thoughts about this event! And if you didn’t have the opportunity to attend, watch the videos to learn more about what was discussed in this session.
