Last week IE alumni from around the globe got together to celebrate the annual Global Alumni Forum. Over 1,000 managers and entrepreneurs from 43 countries gathered in Madrid to network and discuss exit strategies for the economic crisis.

Global Alumni Forum 2010

Joaquín Almunia, Vice President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for competition, evaluated the European Union’s strategy for tackling the crisis. Bernardo Kliksberg, an international authority on CSR and social management and an advisor to presidents and institutions like the UN, spoke about the fight against poverty and Luis Rojas Marcos, professor of Psychiatry at the University of New York and a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, analyzed theories of managing critical situations from a personal perspective in his interactive discussion about overcoming adversity and the power of resilience.

The well organized networking event which followed facilitated networking across all intakes and programs, enabling IE alumni to make global contacts in fields and countries that interested them – now that’s powerful networking!

Maybe you’ll participate in future events!
