Miriam González, partner of international legal practice DLA Piper and wife of Deputy Prime Minister of the UK Nick Clegg, visited IE Law School last Friday to deliver the keynote address at the LLM programs’ opening ceremony. Her speech titled “The economic crisis and its effects on European integration and the multilateral system” analyzed the transformations of the European Union, the World Trade Organization and the G-20 in recent years. She called for IE’s new students to prepare themselves to confront future challenges of renovating the multilateral system and to answer collective global problems which are envisaged when the crisis ends.
