Don’t miss this exciting opportunity! Click here to sign up for a Master Class with IE Professor Pablo Soler: Universal Basic Income and Stakeholder Capitalism. A winning combination to solve some of our economies’ and societies’ most pressing problems, or implausible?

In this master class, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a Universal Basic Income (UBI). As our societies move ever faster toward the digital and automatic, the question of UBI is more relevant than ever. We’ll take apart the main levers and conditions that could make it possible, as well as explore some of the major problems inherent to the shareholder capitalist model.

For example, how can the emergence of global monopolies richer and more powerful than many nations, the overexploitation of natural resources, and ever-increasing income inequality affect this issue? How can stakeholder capitalism adapt to address some of these shortcomings? Can a combination of both UBI and stakeholder capitalism be the answer?

Pablo Soler is a Finance professor at IE Business School and Guest Lecturer at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he specializes in Venture Capital and Fintech. Professor Soler started his career at GE. After his MBA at INSEAD, he joined Boston Consulting Group for a few years. For the last 10 years, he has participated in the creation, launch, and management of several fintech start-ups. He is a consultant with extensive international business experience and an advocate of ESG, Social Impact Investment, Stakeholder Capitalism, and UBI (Universal Basic Income).
