One of the top reasons for doing an IMBA is, of course, to take the next step in advancing your professional career. At IE, our Talent and Careers department is closely involved throughout the program to help you find the right opportunities.

A new initiative from the Careers department offers students the change to engage in one-on-one mentoring with IE IMBA alumni via a personalized, innovative platform called Firsthand.

Students can sign up and request the specific career assistance they need (such as resume revisions, mock interviews, portfolio reviews, career change, industry insights, startup advice, job openings, salary negotiation, and more). Similarly, alumni advisors can create a profile and mark their skill sets and what kind of career assistance they would like to provide.

Mentors can decide on their own their level of commitment, and what type of support to offer: formal mentoring sessions or casual, ad hoc communications.

Since the launch of this program last October, we have connected 165 current students with over 300 alumni and 450 recent alumni. Participants have consistently reported great satisfaction with the process and the career advice they´ve received.

If you want to learn more and/or participate as a mentor or mentee, feel free to reach out to careers.online@ie.edu.
