IE’s Talent Forum is the largest of our recruiting events, held biannually and with each edition traditionally attracting over 120 companies and 1,800 students to our Madrid campus. Under the circumstances faced in the spring of 2020 due to Covid-19, the IE Talent & Careers team was able to quickly turn around the situation for the ease of recruiters and students.

In the first-ever Virtual Talent Fair last spring, nearly 2,800 unique users participated in the four-day event. “If the fair was not online, I doubt we would have been able to attend since we are located internationally,” said Recruitment Officer Marily Erotokritou from Alter Domus. “If I could recommend something, it would be to do that again –even when times will be more normal– so we can all attend.”

Amazon, Salesforce, and BNP Paribas were some of the most visited stands. Siemens, Luxembourg offices of KPMG, EY and Deloitte, along with UPS, Dow, HR Global Partners, and many others were among the extensive list of companies that participated for the first time. Recruiters liked the benefits the virtual scenario gave them in terms of data collection and engagement.

Now, in order to make the most out of the Virtual Forum, each Thursday of the month of October will be dedicated to a group of industries (in Technology, Consulting, Finance, Energy, and many more). In addition, to accommodate different time zones, we will have two time slots where students and companies can interact: from 11.00 to 19:00 Madrid time CET.
